Silk on gauze crewelwork sampler

Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire silk on gauze crewelwork sampler dated 1817, wrought by Harriet Hayden, with a central panel, with a maiden under a tree, with a basket of flowers, sheep, and trees, with a broad band of trailing vines and flowers, 15 1/2" x 16 1/4". A very similar example was sold at the Betty Ring sale at Sotheby's in 2000 for $90,000. Provenance: M. Finkel & Daughter; Provenance: The Collection of the Late Ann G Sickles.

Condition:Parts: Harriet F. Hayden documents to include photos, history, etc. Overall very good. Light discoloration to edges.
